Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is a nationally-recognized science, math, and technology-related competition that provides students with the opportunity to participate as part of a team at the regional, state, and national levels in as many as five different events.  Students are paired up with a partner and compete in various contests related to the different branches of science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.), math, technology, and construction.  Athens High School competes in both the West and North Regional Tournaments in February as well as the State Tournament in late March.  In addition to earning individual awards at the regional and state levels, team scores are computed and the top teams in the state receive awards and possible invitations to the national tournament in May.

The Athens High School Science Olympiad team strives to promote teamwork, dedication, and enjoyment among its members.  If you like science, math, technology, construction, or any other related area, being part of a team, competing, and having fun with your friends, then the Science Olympiad is for you!
